The Dat Dads’ Club of Luling is hosting a cooking for a cause event tomorrow, August 19, 2017, under the main pavilion at the Westbank Bridge Park in Luling, Louisiana. (Please note the venue change from Monsanto Park!) The “Gradoux on the Bayou” is a pastalaya cook-off where the public will vote on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners.
The event opens to the public at 11 a.m. and tickets will be available at the gate for $15, or advance purchase for $10 through the website www.datdadsclub.com. Kids tickets are available for those aged 7-12 for $5 and kids 6 and under are free.
This event will raise funds for two local families affected by breast cancer. One is 31-year-old from Luling currently battling the invasive ductal adenocarcinoma, her husband and two young children. The other beneficiaries are the husband and four children of a 38-year-old from Hahnville who passed away Tuesday after battling breast cancer. All proceeds will be donated to these families.
Louisiana Disability Law has supported previous Dat Dads’ Club events and will be cooking tomorrow with another team. We hope to see you there.
