Louisiana Social Security Disability Processing Time Continues Decline

The average processing times for the Louisiana ODAR offices continues to decline according to the most recent report dated September 24, 2010. The processing time is the time it takes from your appeal submission until you receive a decision from the ODAR office.

The processing times for Louisiana Social Security Disability and Louisiana SSI claims in each of the respective ODAR offices is as follows:

Office Processing Time

New Orleans              320 days

Alexandria                  340 days

Metairie                        358 days

Shreveport                   360 days

As Social Security recently reported in its Fiscal Year 2010 report, their average processing times continue to decline.

This is great news for Metairie Social Security Disability applicants as the average processing time should continue towards 11 months or less.  For New Orleans Social Security Disability claims, the processing time is edging toward 10 months.
